I just wanted to give a summary of the information for task 1, so you can feel comfortable and confident over the next 2 weeks. Forensic victimology is important, as through lifestyle and situational risk assessment of the victim/s, we can gain information about the offender/s. The activity we completed in the tutorial gave you practice on applying lifestyle exposure and situational exposure to victims of crime. This is what you need to do for Assessment 1. There is a report outline in the tutorial slides giving information on what we expect to be included in the report. Essentially, we are looking for a brief background of the crime i.e. On (date) three eight-year-old males were abducted and murdered; a short statement on lifestyle exposure to demonstrate your understanding, and then an assessment of lifestyle exposure for each victim; a short statement of situational exposure to demonstrate your understanding, and then an assessment of lifestyle exposure for each victim; a concluding statement summarising your assessment for each victim; then your reference list. You are not required to provide an assessment of the offender or give any information pertaining to the offender. You can use headings, but these will contribute to your word count and you only have 1000 words +/- 10%. You do not need to reference the case studies i.e. police interviews/information or coroner’s reports. You can see in the report outline in the tutorial slides, there is a heading
