Instructions Your assessor will do the following. Observe you in a using a range of skills/tasks in a management and leadership field of work to manage operational plans.Contextualise observations to suit your workplace or training environment.Provide access to relevant legislation, regulations, workplace documents and resources as specified in the assessment conditions.Use the checklist to observe you using a range of skills/tasks.Observe you over a period of time while you learn and use various skills/tasks.Record comments and feedback based on their observation of your performance.Ensure that you can consistently perform all tasks multiple times (or where not specified, at least once) satisfactorily.Decide when you are competent at all tasks.Submit the results of your practical demonstration tasks via the LMS.   You are required to do the following. Complete the practical tasks as instructed by your assessor.

Can read, identify and extract information from complex texts.  
Can gather, interpret and analyse workplace documentation to determine requirements of plan.  
Can research, analyse and document resource requirements and develop an operational plan in consultation with relevant personnel, colleagues and specialist resource managers.    
Ensures the vocabulary, grammatical structures and conventions of workplace documents are appropriate for the context and target.  
Monitors adherence to policies and procedures and considers how own role contributes to broader work goals.  
Appreciates the implications of legal responsibilities with specific reference to safety.  
Develops and/or implements consultation processes as an integral part of the operational planning process.    
Uses appropriate conventions, protocols, verbal and non-verbal skills when communicating with relevant stakeholders, and explaining the plan and supporting information.  
Listens and comprehends information from a variety of spoken exchanges and collaborates with others to achieve joint outcomes.     
Takes on a leadership role and plays an active role in facilitating effective group interaction.    
Takes responsibility for developing and implementing systems and processes to achieve objectives, and seeks advice, feedback and support during the planning phase.  
Sequences and schedules complex activities, monitors implementation and manages relevant communication.  
Uses systematic analytical processes to aid decision-making, identify potential problems and generate contingency plans or solutions.  
Develops and implements an operational plan which includes resources requirements.  
Can select and use mathematical problem-solving strategies to organise resource requirements, performance benchmarks and financial viability of the operational plan and is able to interpret numerical information related to timeframes and budgets.  
Ensures the operational plan includes key performance indicators to measure organisational performance and meet business objectives.    
Develops and implements an operational plan which includes monitoring processes.  
Develops and implements contingency plans for the operational plan.  
Ensures the development and presentation of proposals is supported by a range of information sources and seeks specialist advice as required.  
Obtains approval for the plan, negotiates variations and explains the plan to relevant work teams.  
Plans and manages resource acquisition
Develops and implements strategies to ensure that employees are recruited and/or inducted within the organisation’s human resources management policies, practices and procedures.  
Develops and implements strategies to ensure that physical resources and services are acquired in accordance with the organisation’s policies, practices and procedures.  
Recognises and incorporates requirements for intellectual property rights and responsibilities in recruitment and acquisition of resources and services.  
Develops and implements strategies for developing personnel, monitoring and documenting performance.  
Develops and implements strategies for making variations to the plan.  
Monitors and reviews operational performance
Develops, monitors and reviews performance systems and processes to assess progress in achieving profit and productivity plans and targets.  
Analyses and interprets budget and actual financial information to monitor and review profit and productivity performance.  
Identifies areas of underperformance, recommends solutions and takes prompt action to rectify the situation.  
Plans and implements systems to coach individuals and teams how to effectively, economically and safely use resources.  
Negotiates recommendations for variations to operational plans and gains approvals.  
Develops and implements systems for procedures and records associated with performance management.
