Report
Web development is a key skill in the Digital Economy and a key part of any digital
marketing strategy. In this respect, it is important to understand both how websites
are built in order to manage costs and product development but also how to design
design a web site so that users will LOVE it and return often.
This assignment is based on the London App Brewery (LAB) tutorial which is an on
line learning platform that walks students through the different steps of web
development including an introduction to HTML, CSS and Bootstrapping.
Students follow the on-line tutorial and practice skills by completing and submitting
a series of website projects based on HTML, CSS and Bootstrapping. The projects
are as follows:
1) Personal CV web-site part I
2) Personal CV web-site part II
3) Company landing page
To reflect on the experience, students then prepare a report reflecting on personal
experience about the web development and design process including key tasks used
to complete the different website projects. They should identify key terminology and
explain their meaning using examples from the projects which they have developed.
Finally, students need to discuss the broader context about how they can apply their
skills a business context.
All pages of this cover sheet must be attached to the front of your
